Summer series are winding down

Several family-friendly series have delighted and inspired children throughout the 2010 summer season. But as with all good things, these too must end. Here are a couple summer events wrapping up this week and next in downtown Baltimore that are not to be missed. After checking them out take a short jaunt to the harbor for a stroll around the water while the weather's still mild!
  • Family Fun Day at Harborplace: Don't miss the last of the season, taking place tomorrow morning! Join Silly Goose and the Musical Zoo at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 25 in the Light Street Pavilion, Level 2 for a rowdy sing-a-long designed for tots 2-8 years old. Each child at Family Fun Day will also recieve a coupon for a free noodle bowl from Noodles & Company, which just opened in the Light Street Pavilion on Level 1!
  • Urban Pirates Story Time: ARGHHH you ready for a pirate's tale aboard the ship Fearless?! Every Wednesday and Friday at 9 a.m. through Friday, Sept. 3 Urban Pirates provides storytime, songs, games, and more aboard a pirate ship in historic Fells Point, all for FREE! The ship holds a maximum of 49 passengers so arrive early to get a spot. Immediately following the Wednesday and Friday story times tickets are only $15 each on the 10 a.m. cruise. Children under 2 sail for $10. Reservations are required for cruises. SHIPS AHOY!
