Cookies with Santa and The Grinch at Arundel Mills: Yes, it's already time for the man in red to make his first appearance! Besides visiting with Santa and The Grinch, children can also write letters to Santa and decorate cookies. Friday, Nov. 5, 6-8 p.m. at Dave and Busters. FREE
World Championship Punkin Chunkin Event: Who would have thought that a challenge to see who could throw a pumpkin the farthest would grow to be one of the largest events in Delaware, drawing tens of thousands of people? Watch as canons chuck pumpkins thousands of feet to smash into smithereens! Highlights will be filmed by The Science Channel and will premiere on Thanksgiving night. The event, which also includes a full-scale carnival, takes place Friday, Nov. 5 through Sunday, Nov. 7 in Nassau, DE.
FREE Day of the Dead Celebration at the Walters: Although it sounds spooky, this Mexican holiday is actually very juvial, commemorating the lives of family and friends who have died. Visitors will enjoy traditional Mexican dance performances, a live mariachi band, food, and art activities for the whole family. During this special event, admission to the Walter Wick exhibit will also be FREE! Sunday, Nov. 7, noon to 3 p.m.
FREE Meal at Noodles and Company: All kids who trade in a piece or two of their unwanted Halloween candy will get a free bowl of noodles on Sunday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m.!
