Don't Miss this Weekend's FREE Maryland Day Activities

Where have I been? Apparently this weekend marks the 4th annual Maryland Day celebration, but I only first heard about this fabulous event taking place in Annapolis late last week.

Today through Sunday (March 25-27), celebrate the founding of our home state with lots of FREE family-friendly events, restaurant specials, and even lodging deals if you're up for a quick getaway. Here's a compilation of some of the free activities that would be perfect for kids:
  • Activities, crafts and games honoring African-American Marylanders at the Banneker-Douglass Museum
  • A scavenger hunt through the gardens and cemetary at the Charles Carroll House
  • A fish print T-shirt making stations at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation
  • Traditional activities of the early 1900s, including butter churning and candle wicking at the Deale Historical Society
  • A community mural project that all visitors can participate in, and more!
Click here for all of the event details, including specific times and locations.
