National Aquarium Announces FREE 30th Anniversary Celebration!

The National Aquarium in Baltimore and I have something very special in common ... we both celebrate the big three-oh this year! Yep, we're 30!

While I'm celebrating with a small family and friends get-together at Ladew Gardens, the aquarium is appropriately throwing a HUGE bash, big enough for the entire city. Best of all, it's FREE!

According to the Facebook event page, the celebration will be a four-day festival featuring music, dancing, face painting, an Ocean Art Project, character appearances, zumba dance instruction, a Kid’s Corner, and some surprises. It will be held on the pier outside the aquarium on Friday, August 5,  noon to 7 p.m.; Saturday, August 6, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Sunday, August 7, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Monday, August 8, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

All events on the pier are free. Any events that take place inside the aquarium are free with regular museum admission. Stay tuned for more information as the aquarium releases additional details about the schedule.
