Savings at the Maryland State Fair

The cost of those ride tickets can add up super quick! So check out these savings opportunities that will help you save a few bucks at this year's Maryland State Fair.

The fair previews on the evening of Thursday, Aug. 25 then runs regular hours from Friday, Aug. 26 through Monday, Aug. 5. Normal admission is $8 for adults and $3 for kids. Ride tickets are $1 each and each ride requires one to six tickets each. (Ouch!) Here's how to save:
  •  Ridemania Preview Night: Valid Thursday, Aug. 25 from 5-11 p.m..  Fairgoers pay $16 for admission and to ride all the rides they wish.  Those who do not wish to ride, pay only $4 for admission. Please note, on Ridemania Night, only the Midway rides, games and food stands will be open.  Exhibition Halls, Livestock Barns, etc. will not open until Friday, Aug. 26.
  • Food Lion Ride Special: Valid Friday, Aug. 26 and Monday, Aug. 29 through Thursday, Sept. 1.  Fairgoers pay $22 plus fair admission (sold only from noon to 6 p.m.) to ride an unlimited number of rides from noon to 10 p.m..  A $5 off Food Lion coupon is available at participating local Food Lion stores while supplies last. 
  • Labor Day Ride Special: Valid Monday, Sept. 5 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m..  Fairgoers pay $22 plus fair admission to ride an unlimited number of rides from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. 
  • Ride Wristbands: Valid Friday, Aug. 26 and Monday, Aug. 29 through Thursday, Sept. 1.  Fairgoers pay $22 plus fair admission (sold only from noon-6 p.m.) to ride an unlimited number of rides from noon to 10 p.m.
