Weekend Outlook - January 20-22, 2012

It's the AFC Championship weekend! GO RAVENS! Other than watching the big game on Sunday at 3 p.m., here are Economoms' picks for the best budget-conscious family activities in the Baltimore area from January 20-22, 2012:

All Weekend
Friday
  • Get Fit Family Event - All family center Y's throughout Maryland, various times throughout the day and eveninf depending on location. Zumba, obstacle courses, snacks. FREE for members or $10 per family.
  • $2 Family Fun Night at Port Discovery - The third Friday of each month from 4-7 p.m., admission is just $2 per person.
  • Fridays After Five, Prices Take a Dive - At the National Aquarium and the Maryland Science Center through March 23, 2012. Admission is $8. Dolphin shows or 4-D experiences at the Aquarium are $4. IMAX shows and Planetarium presentations are FREE at the Science Center. 
  • Friday Night Stargazing - Maryland Science Center, 5:30-9 p.m. every Friday through January 27, weather permitting. FREE! Friday After Five admission is NOT required to participate.  
Saturday
  • Zumbatomic Launch Party - University Fitness at the Overlea Event Center, 10 a.m. Zumba for kids, plus meet Mickey Mouse, FREE mini mani/pedis, crafts, and games.FREE!
  • Chinese New Year Celebration - Port Discovery, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. FREE with museum admission.
  • Drop-In Art Activity at the Walters - Every Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. A different theme each month. January's theme is Dragon Tales and Scales. FREE!
  • Orioles FanFest - Baltimore Convention Center, 11 a.m. Adults $10, children and seniors $5.
