Friday
  • Fridays After 5 at the Aquarium - Each Friday through March, admission prices are reduced to $12 per person between 5 and 8 p.m. 
  • Family Campfire - Anita C. Leight Estuary Center, 6-7:30 p.m. This Friday's theme is "Things That Go Bump in the Night." $3 per person or $10 per family.
Saturday
Sunday
  • Baltimore Farmer's Market - Every Sunday underneath the Jones Falls Expressway at Holliday & Saratoga streets, 7 a.m.-noon.
  • Drop-In Art Activity at the Walters - Every Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. A different theme each month. October's theme is Reimagining the Renaissance. FREE! NOTE: No class this Saturday the 13th due to a private event at the museum.
  • Outdoor Miniature Train Rides - Leakin Park in Baltimore. Second Sunday of each month through November, 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. FREE but donation suggested.
  • PumpkinFest - Irvine Nature Center in Owings Mills, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, noon-4 p.m. Sunday. $10 per child.
  • Exploration Station - Rawlings Conservatory in Baltimore. Each Sunday from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Educational hands-on gardening. FREE!
  • Farewell Fall Flowers Hike - Oregon Ridge Park in Cockeysville, Saturday and Sunday, 2-4 p.m. FREE!
  • Family Sunday at the BMA - Every Sunday, 2-5 p.m. A different theme each month. October's theme is "The Three P's". FREE!
