Weekend Outlook

Economoms' recommendations for the best budget-conscious family activities in the Maryland region for the weekend of October 8-10:

Free Fall Baltimore: Tons of FREE arts and culture events are scheduled in Baltimore throughout October. Check out our children's faves and adult faves. We're heading out for a date tonight at the Baltimore Museum of Art to see Get Loose and Laugh!, an improv comedy performance. There's still tickets available at the door!

Toon Day at Port Discovery: FREE with museum admission! Halloween songs with Kindersinger, a moonbounce, Bubbles the Clown, Pets on Wheels, and kiddos can meet their favorite cartoon characters, like Sponge Bob and Bob the Builder! Saturday, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Saturday Science Series at Towson University: FREE! Join Susan Fowler, actor and professional storyteller, as she brings scientist Madame Curie to life! Saturday at 10 a.m. and noon in Smith Hall on the TU campus.

National Apple Harvest Festival: The festival continues this weekend in Gettysburg, PA. Kids 12 and under are FREE! Activities include:
