In this week's Mother's Day giveaway, Economoms wanted to know -- What is your favorite daily deals site?
We heard from lots of you, but Lisa J., who likes Groupon, and Christina, who's a fan of Gaggle of Chicks, are our lucky winners! They'll both receive a canvas Economoms tote stuffed with goodies from our partners.
Like Lisa, most of you favor Groupon. In fact, a third of those who participated in our giveaway mentioned Groupon, with Living Social coming in close second.
It's not surprising considering Groupon was the first of its kind on the daily deals scene and has the market cornered just by sheer size at the moment. But with lots of shout-outs to Living Social, it's clear Groupon has a competitor on its heels.
It's also not surprising that many of you are into daily deals sites that are targeted just to moms. Christina's pick of Gaggle of Chicks was completely new to me, and I'm looking forward to checking out their kid-centric sales. Other family-friendly sites mentioned include Mamapedia, Certifikid, Baby Steals, and Kids Woot. In our opinion, Certifikid gets bonus points because its targeted to parents AND Baltimore!
Many of you are into flash sale sites too, particularly Gilt Groupe (men's, women's, children, home, and travel) and Zulily (moms and kids). I have to admit these are two of my favorites as well! Designer labels and brands at 50% or more off? Yes, please! And in my experience, these sites both have the best track records in terms of the variety of their offerings, shipping time, and customer service.
