  • Urban Pirates' After School Special - Save $5 on the 4 p.m. Family Adventure Cruise through fall 2011.
  • Fridays After Five, Prices Take a Dive - At the National Aquarium and the Maryland Science Center through March 23, 2012. Admission is $8. Dolphin shows or 4-D experiences at the Aquarium are $4. IMAX shows and Planetarium presentations are FREE at the Science Center.

  • FREE Admission to the American Visionary Art Museum - Both Saturday and Sunday thanks to the Bank of America Museums on Us Program.
  • FREE Admission to the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History - Both Saturday and Sunday thanks to the Bank of America Museums on Us Program. Special events this weekend that are included with your FREE admission are STEM: DNA Extraction Lab and Painted Gourd: Red and Black Voices.
  • Drop-In Art Activity at the Walters - Every Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. A different theme each month. November's theme is Text Messages. FREE!
  • Science Alive for Kids Under Five: Oysters - Masonville Cove Environmental Education Center, 10-11 a.m. FREE!
  • Pumpkin Chucking Weekend - Clark's Elioak Farm in Ellicott City both Saturday and Sunday. Bring your own pumpkin to chuck in the farm's catapult. This is the last weekend that the farm's fall activities will be available.
  • Green Cleaner Workshop for the Whole Family - Masonville Cove Environmental Education Center, noon-1 p.m. FREE!
  • Make Your Own Natural Broom - Oregon Ridge Park in Cockeysville, 2-4 p.m. $8 per person ($5 for members)

    Great blog! I stumbled upon this a couple weeks ago and since we're new to the area, I figured we would try at least a few of these family activities! We so enjoyed the pumpkin chucking! SO fun! Many thanks!
